Members are charged with enhancing the agency’s recognition, standing, and fundraising ability. Unlike its Board of Directors, the Advisory Council does not assume any fiduciary responsibility. Members, selected only by invitation of the Board of Directors, are persons of unquestionable integrity who are recognized for their wisdom, judgment, and leadership positions. The Council’s purpose is to provide guidance to the Board and Executive Director on matters of strategic planning, community visibility and support, and business operations. In consideration of its members’ busy schedules, the Council will meet no more than once or twice a year.
