Care Management Services
- Should Dad continue to drive?
- Does Grandma show signs of memory loss?
- Are Mom and Dad able to manage on their own?
If any of these concerns sounds familiar, you may be among the adult children who are worried about their parents’ well-being and wondering what you should do and where to find answers. Although a modest number of seniors choose – and have the resources – to move into a retirement or assisted living community, most prefer to remain in their current homes. Sometimes a critical incident -- such as a fall – makes you wonder if your loved ones are safe or may need some type of assistance. GuardiaCare’s Care Management Services are designed to guide families through the myriad of questions that arise and decisions that need to be made. Calling on the experts to provide accurate information and connection to resources can save enormous amounts of time. It is well worth the reasonable fee for such consultations to lift the burden of worry and avoid costly mistakes. Many services, such as a Home Safety Assessment or Caregiver University On-Line, are available at no charge to eligible caregivers. Every family’s situation and interpersonal dynamics are unique, but our experienced and caring staff knows the right questions to ask. This expanded role for GuardiaCare is a natural extension of our “guiding hand, caring heart” philosophy. Contact Geriatric Care Manager, Rachelle Wallace-Krank, at 585-9949, ext. 232, for more information.
GuardiaCare Services also provides elder care services to area employers as a stand-alone benefit or as an integrated service through its existing employee assistance program. Interested employers should contact Executive Director, Mary Ellen Harned, at 585-9949, ext. 235
