The Mission
GuardiaCare Services, Inc. is dedicated to promoting and supporting independent and stable lives for persons at financial and physical risk.
The Programs
The Financial Management Services began in 1969. The Adult Day Health Services is a health model that began in 1988. Caregiver Programs provide a range of services to support family members caring for an aging loved one. For further information on any of these programs, please click their link.
The Clients
In the 2002 - 2003 program year, GuardiaCare served 489 clients. Of those clients:
34% were 54 years or older
22% were 88 years or older
12% lived at or more than 150% above the poverty level
70% lived below the poverty level
45% were African-American
61% were female
