On-Site Workshops for Employees
on Caring for Aging Relatives

  • About 80 percent of elderly care is provided by family members, most of whom are working adults.
  • According to the Family and Work Institute, 40 percent of employed caregivers said they were distracted from their job by their caregiver responsibilities

The challenges of juggling work and caring for an aging parent or loved one can lead to stress, decreased productivity, increased absenteeism and higher turnover.

Free workshops provided by GuardiaCare Services on-site at your workplace can support your employees with helpful information and connect them to community resources. Our program titled “Caring for Your Loved One,” will cover topics such as:

  • How to determine if a loved one needs help
  • Ensuring safety and well-being in the home
  • How to get help from local resources
  • Dealing with the stress of caregiving
  • Understanding health and legal concerns related to caregiving.

To schedule a one-hour (or longer) program at a convenient time for your employees, contact Edie Allen at 585-9949, ext. 223, or by email to eallen@guardiacare.org.
